Network Equipment Installation & Deployment
New hardware should fit your operating environment, not create another support problem. CivicTel coordinates physical installation and agreed configuration tasks with your IT team, managed service provider or equipment vendor.
Discuss your requirementsNetwork equipment installation with a defined change plan
Deploying switches, routers and firewalls means coordinating the rack, patching, power and approved configuration. CivicTel works alongside the technical owner rather than assuming control of your live environment.
Switch, router and firewall deployment
Provide the equipment list and current connections. Identify the ports and services that will move, along with the person responsible for backups, credentials and configuration approval.
Prepare the maintenance window and rollback
Agree when equipment can be changed and what must be verified before the site returns to normal operation. The technical owner should define the rollback decision and any dependencies on carriers or remote teams.
Records your support team can use
Specify equipment identifiers, port references and completion checks in the scope. Ongoing monitoring, managed IT support and software subscriptions require a separate agreement when needed.
DEFINE THE WORK
What your project can include
- Rack mounting and patching for switches, routers and firewalls
- Power, airflow and physical access checks within the agreed scope
- Device replacement and migration coordination
- Port references, equipment records and handover notes
Before we schedule
Provide the equipment list, rack photographs, current topology and maintenance window. Confirm who owns configurations, credentials and rollback decisions before the cutover.
The handover goal
A planned deployment with clear responsibilities and less uncertainty for the people supporting it.
Scope, pricing, availability and acceptance criteria are confirmed in writing before work is booked. Requirements vary by building and jurisdiction.
